We are excited about our next speaker, artist Jane Troup. Jane is a contemporary artist whose art can be viewed in museums, galleries, private collections and also purchased online. Our speaker for our May 2024 meeting was master glass blower Terry Bloodworth. What a career he has had! The presentation was just as much about how he became a glass blower as it was about the art itself. It was a heartwarming and educational presentation.

Andi Snethern
Studio 55 member Andi Snethern has a busy schedule for First Friday Art Walk on June 7. Andi is the featured artist at Hotel Vandivort during its reception at 305 E. Walnut, Springfield. She is also participating in the Obelisk Invitational Group Exhibition at 214 W. Phelps, Springfield, and she has new art at Formed: An Artist Collective during its First Friday event at 210 E. Walnut, Springfield.
Fresh Gallery
Fresh Gallery participates in First Friday events. Steve Snyder is Fresh Gallery's artist of the month.
Fresh Gallery is located at 401 N. Boonville, Springfield. Gallery members who are also Studio 55 members include Nadine Ellman, Farley Lewis, Jason Martin, Cheryl Vowels and Nancy Dornan. More information is available here.

Springfield Art Museum current exhibits.
The Museum is located at 1111 E. Brookside Drive, Springfield.
"Watercolor USA" opens with a public Opening Reception on Friday, June 7 (6-8 p.m.). Over 24 local and national artists are attending and will be in-gallery to meet you and talk about their works. Studio 55 member Alicia Farris is among the 77 artists selected for the exhibit.
Obelisk Gallery "Invitational"
Studio 55 members Nancy Dornan, Teresa Fry, Linda Kirchner, and Andi Snethern are among the 20 artists selected to participate in "Invitational" at Obelisk Gallery. The opening reception is from 6-10 p.m. during the First Friday Art Walk on June 7 at 214 W. Phelps St. in Springfield. Congratulations to all!

The Mud Lounge, 321 E. Walnut St., Springfield. Studio 55 members now exhibiting at the Mud Lounge include Meike Aton, Rebecca Burrell, Greg Chappell, Nancy Day, Carol Snyder, Misty Ware and Julie Zaslow. At the end of July, new art will be added.
The Holland Building, 205 Park Central East, Springfield. Theme: "Something Springfield." We will have an exhibit in July at the Holland Building and that includes being part of the First Friday Art Walk on July 5. Be watching your email in for a call for entries to this venue.
The Springfield Botanical Center, 2400 S. Scenic Avenue, Springfield. Theme: "Wonders of Nature." Drop off art Saturday, August 3, 9-10 a.m. Pick up art Saturday, Sept. 21, 9-10 a.m. More information will be forthcoming.
Fresh Gallery, 401 N. Boonville, Springfield, will host an exhibit of Studio 55 members' art during August. More details will follow.
Elliott Robinson, CPA Firm, 2305 S. Blackman Road, Suite D, Springfield. Theme: "Art Inspired By Light." Drop off accepted work Saturday, October 5, 9-10 a.m. Pick up art on Saturday, Dec. 28, 9-10 a.m.
Sky Gallery, Springfield-Branson National Airport. Studio 55 is invited to display art at Sky Gallery from December 2024-February 2025. Art must be at least 36" on each side. More information will follow about this opportunity.

Formed Gallery, at 210 E. Walnut Street, participates in First Friday Art Walk, features monthly artist exhibitions and other artists' work. More information is available here. Springfield Regional Arts Council
During the First Friday Art Walk, June 6, the Springfield Regional Arts Council is having its "Annual Art Auction" from 5–7 p.m. at the Creamery Center, 411 N. Sherman Pkwy, Springfield. The proceeds of the auction go to supporting their Arts Programming. The auction will go live at 5 p.m. on June 6 and bidding will be live until June 21st at 11:59 pm. Catch the opening reception for live music and refreshments!

Peggy Dyke
Studio 55 member Peggy Dyke is showing her art at The Baked Bean Coffee Shop, 1860 N. Commerce, Nixa, along with the works of students from the classes that she teaches. Stop by to see her and all of the art on Friday, June 14, from 6-8 p.m.
Gailey’s Breakfast Café:
Gailey's Breakfast Cafe, 220 E. Walnut Street, in Springfield, invites artists to exhibit whether they have one piece or 10 pieces of artwork.10% of the sales goes directly to the wait staff. This is the only fee.

The Library Center
Several Studio 55 members participated in our show during May at the Library Center, “The Gifts of Women." Participating artists included Tracy Bruton, Cindy Bylander, Felicia Ellis, Dawna Middleton, Leta Sapp, Emmie Seaman, Carol Siano, Gary Tebbenkamp, Susan Van Doren and Julie Zaslow. May 2024 Meeting
Southwest Missouri Art & Craft Guild
The Southwest Missouri Art & Craft Guild is accepting applications from sculpture, metal and fiber artists for the 29th Annual Art in the Park at Sequiota Park in Springfield. Art in the Park is on October 12-13. All other categories are full at this time. For more information, visit here.

LaDonna Greiner
In June and July, Studio 55 member LaDonna Greiner is displaying her photographs at Schweitzer Brentwood Branch Library in her exhibit, "Reminders of Summertime in the Ozarks." That Library is located at 2214 Brentwood Blvd, Springfield. She also shows and sells her photos on metal and in print at Lucid TLC in Nixa.
Obelisk Home
Obelisk Home has monthly participation in First Friday Art Walk and many other exhibits year-round at 214 W. Phelps Street, Springfield. Regular hours: Tuesday-Friday 10am-6pm and Saturdays 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Gallery Artists who are also members of Studio 55 include Ken Richardson, Rebecca Lewis Smith, and Jane Troup.
