My show ‘Tropical Oceans’ is a collection of 20 plus paintings honoring the Oceans and continues to be featured at LaBelle Gallery, 325 E Walnut Street, next to Bookmarx. Five new ocean paintings are also at the airport for ‘wide open spaces’
The two pieces shown here, I created during the live painting I did at Artsfest on Walnut Street and are on display and available for purchase at the creamery.

  • Texture Painting Part I Thursday June 17, 2021, 10-4pm Fee $105 call today for the discounted rate of $95. Includes goody  bag of specialty materials. After some initial discussion of composition, You’ll get to play with all of these awesome, strange and curious texture materials. No paints on day one. (Day 2 is a separate class the following Thursday) This class is limited to 5 participants, for lots of personal attention. Reservation required Bring: 3 or 4 canvases, various sizes from 18x24 up to 36x36, Matt Medium (I use 36 ounce bottles by Liquitex)

        

  •  Texture Painting Part II, Thursday June 24, 2021, 10-4pm Fee $95 call today for the discounted rate of $85. This is the continuation from Texture Painting Part I (last week’s class). Your texture applied in the Part 1 class will have one week to dry and is ready to be painted. You will learn to apply thin layers of diluted paint to create a deep and luminous effect. Acrylic paints, primary colors +white for Texture Painting will be used in Part II.  Bring BIG Brushes

  •  Acrylic Painting For Young Artists age 9 to 12. Four meetings, 90 minutes each. Tuesdays, June 1, 15, 22, 29,3-5 pm.Tuition $95 on or before first class or $30 each class. Bring to each meeting: 2-3 canvases sized 18x24 or larger, Artist paints (no craft paints please) red, yellow, blue two shades of each, plus white. and Cheap brushes from hardware store: 2” bristle brushes $1

 If you are interested in taking a "Color and Expression! Add some bling to your garden with your very own bird garden stake! Join us on Tuesday, June 15th from 11 am-5 pm to create a garden stake. Participants will be able to pick up their garden stakes within 5-6 days at Fresh Gallery during business hours.

• Beginners - Ages 12+; An adult must accompany children under age 16.
• Cost: $40, Friends of Fresh $35
• Time: 2 hours

Please, no walk-ins. To safely distance, we request that you pre-register. We are only taking six guests per time slot. Adults accompanying their children for the class are not counted.

Watercolor USA  June 5, 2021 - August 29, 2021
1111 East Brookside Drive in Springfield, Missouri. A color catalog, a complete record of the exhibition, will be available for purchase. Admission is always free.


This is the 60th exhibition of Watercolor USA, a national, annual, juried exhibition recognizing watermedia painting. The event is open to artists from all 50 states and US territories.  There are a variety of prizes and this year’s exhibition was judged by Nick Nelson, Director of the Springfield Art Museum.

Two hundred thirty-two artists from 44 states and the District of Columbia entered 399 works. Ninety-six paintings from 95 artists, representing 36 states were chosen for the exhibit.
