Pretty excited about this. I had three drawings in the exhibit at Elliot Robinson & Co.and I sold one of my drawings!

This one was entitled, “Working Hands”

Rick Atwell:

Hope this finds everyone in good health! I’m happy to report that I have now had both my Covid vaccinations and am healthy and very huggable. I have paintings on exhibition at the Springfield Branson Airport and sold the largest watercolor painting I’ve ever done (3’x2’). I’ve  been going a lot of workshops online and I’m doing a one-year mentoring course with the watercolorist Andy Evanson. I’m absolutely loving it and learning a lot. Besides the painting we’re doing a lot of work in the gardens, waterfalls, and ponds. And  soon we will be traveling to New York to see friends and go sailing. In September we’re off to Maine for two weeks. Looking forward to it all and hoping our studio 55 group will be Up and running again soon! I miss everyone.

My love and a hug to you all, Rick

Susie Sharpe:

I wanted to share my first and very personal podcast video about my unusual life as a physician-artist.
Remember it's my first, so I wasn't polished in front of the camera, but was at least authentic. The interviewer is Chris Loo, MD.PhD-entrepreneur who found my story inspiring and asked me to be interviewed on his program.

Hope you get something out of my story of overcoming adversity.Thank you for your support and friendship.

Alicia Farris:

Hello artists,

I hope this finds you WELL and HAPPY and ready to get back to life as we've known it!

I wanted to make a couple of upcoming workshop announcements.

On June 4 and 5th, Marilynne Bradley, fabulous artist from St. Louis and my beloved high school art teacher will be teaching a watercolor workshop at Splatter Studio called, "From Freedom to Control."  If you are interested, there are a few spots still available at this point.  Please see details on the Visual Artists Alliance website: http://www.visartalliance.org/workshops/
Registration is available through the Visartalliance.org website.

On July 1 and 2nd, I'll be teaching a watercolor workshop called, Painting LIFE in Watercolor, where we'll discuss and practice adding figures to the landscape.  For details on this one, please see my website Alicia Farris Fine Art or the Splatter Art Studio website,  PAINTING LIFE in Watercolor with Alicia Farris — Splatter Art + Studio  https://www.afarris.com/events

AND one more thing.....  If you are interested in taking a "Color and Expression! Painting Animals in Watercolor" workshop from me ONLINE, this one will be very fun and extremely well organized, as it will be through Cheap Joe's!  The dates are July 12-15.  There will be a few hours of painting/demo time, on the 12 and 13th, then a day off to paint individually and receive individual critique and discussion from me on the 14th, then we'll re-convene on the 15th for a final day of painting.  The workshop will be forever accessible for participants through Cheap Joe's private YouTube page!  Please see details here: https://www.cheapjoes.com/catalog/product/view/id/40069/s/alicia-farris-online-art-workshop-color-and-expression-animals-in-watercolor-july-12-13-and-15-2021/   Note: there is a deadline for sign-up but when the workshop is at capacity, registration will be closed, even if before the sign-up deadline.  If you have questions about this or either of the other workshops, just let me know.

Thanks all.  Looking forward to seeing you and looking forward to painting with you!!
