Memorial Award: "Effervescent Pencils" by photographer Suzanne Walker
This award was given in memory of one of our deceased members, Barbara Heath who served as president and many other leadership positions in Studio 55.
Prizes: Recipients of the awards were presented gift certificates to National Art Shop or Waverly House. Thanks to Jean and Jerry Sanders (owners of National Art) and member Fran Young for donating the certificates.
Sympathy
We are deeply sorry to hear about the death of William (Bill) Wright, who passed away on August 20th. He was a charter member of Studio 55 and an excellent pen and ink artist whose architectural renderings were known throughout the Ozark's area.

Studio 55 Members Exhibit at the Springfield - Greene County Botanical Center

The Botanical Center is located at 2400 S. Scenic Ave, Springfield, MO 65807
Deliver your art: September 30: 9:00 - 10:00 a.m.
- Limit 2 pieces of 2D art
- Limit the width to about 22"
Pick up your art: November 7, between 9:00 & 10:00.
December 2016:
Member's Art Exhibit at Artivities
2D and 3D art is eligible: members contact studio55guild@gmail.com to sign up
Drop of artwork November 22nd between 1:00 and 4:00pm.
There is no entry fee
Pick up unsold artwork December 30th between 1:00 and 4:00pm.
The opening will be on Friday, December 2nd,
6:00 pm with music and refreshments.
Members are asked to attend the opening.
All art must be for sale with Artivities receiving a 30% commission on sold artwork.
Guide Lines for Art
- Each member may exhibit 1 piece of artwork.
- The guild is limited to 25 pieces of 2D artwork, and 10 pieces of 3D artwork. So sign up soon!

- 2D artwork must be no larger than 36” x 36”.
- 3D artwork no larger than 24” in any direction.
- All artwork must be for sale.
- Attach a tag with the Title, Artist name, Media, Dimension,Phone number, and Price to your artwork
- Please submit a 1-2 page biography along with the artwork.

Congratulations
Nancy Day was chosen Best in Show, Les Hagemann, juror's choice and members Joellen Mittlestadt and Dawna Middleton were juried into Maschino's Art Show: "Art of the Book".
You can view this exhibit now until October 29th, Monday - Saturday 9:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. at Maschino's Home Store, 1715 S. Campbell in Springfield, MO.
