Claire Barber

One of my favorite pastimes is making yard bouquets. I mostly use flowers from my own yard, but I have been known to pick a few wildflowers from some remote roadside areas. I think the fall arrangements are among my favorites, so I am sharing a variety of some of my autumn displays. As you can see, I sometimes add a few additional features such as grasses, painted leaves and feathers. I hope I have inspired you to go out and pick some lovely flowers before they become damaged by the cold temperatures.

Bring the beauty that surrounds you inside!

The theme for this exhibit is “Gifts for Giving, Seasons for Sharing”. The giving of gifts may be one of the oldest of human activities that pre-dates civilization and may go back to the origin of our species. Even in primitive culture the giving of gifts was fairly common as it was used to show love and affection toward one another. Over the centuries gifts and celebrations ranged from very simple to extremely elaborate. The tradition of gift giving, and celebrations remains a part of our culture, defines who we are and the message we want to send with our gift and our celebration.

  • Our exhibit is scheduled for 2023 at Elliott Robinson, CPA Firm. We are the featured exhibiting group from May through August, 2023 per Brenda Raynor, Marketing Consultant. The upside of this venue is that it is prepared to handle large sized art work, something our Studio 55 artists don’t have in every venue with which we work.
