Art Classes: Weekly classes or workshops by members are being offered by artists Meike Aton, Tracy Bruton, Greg Chappell, Alicia Farris, Audrey Bottrell Parks, Farley Lewis, Darlene Prater, John Whytock, Ursula Wollenberg, plus an art support group is offering creative support and encouragement.
Judy Ferguson and Ramona Gist facilitate an artist support group at the Northview Senior Center. This is a group of artists that meet and work on their own individual projects and support is offered in watercolor, acrylic, oil, pencil, pen and ink, pastel and design. (FREE) for 55 and older, others welcome for a small fee.

Sky Gallery at the Springfield-Branson International Airport has a show now through February 12, 2020. This juried show features members from Splatter, Studio 55 Arts Guild, and Visual Art Association Artists. You can see their art and that of other artists at 400 W. Walnut on the SW corner of Campbell and Walnut in downtown Springfield. The February Featured Artist is John Whytock. John is an award-winning artist and muralist. He paints in oils and acrylics with a realistic style.

Hue and Marla Parnell have moved back to Springfield.Please see their Website: parnellstudios.com. Marla is working part time at National Art Shop. Hue and Marla are pottery and portrait artists and are former owners and creators of Creava Studios where Marla taught Pastel painting and Hue taught pottery classes.
Ursula Wollenberg: Ursela will be teaching a watercolor workshop titled; Watercolor Pure and Simple at Splatter on Feb. 7 10-3.
Alicia Farris: She continues to teach workshops locally and throughout the US. Her next local workshop is at Splatter Art Studio, April 16-18. Check her website for details and stay tuned for information of other upcoming workshops. www.afarris.com

This course series is designed to help you learn each aspect of painting landscapes from beginning to end. Each class begins with a short teaching time followed by a demonstration to illustrate what we covered. Then the participants can work on their own painting with plenty of one-on-one instruction.
